Unleash Your PC's Ultimate Potential with the Ultimate Performance Mode
Most PC users are familiar with the three primary power modes of their computers: Power Saver, Balanced, and High-Performance. Among them, the High-Performance mode is capable of unleashing the full potential of your hardware, significantly boosting your PC's overall performance. However, in the Windows 10 system, there lies an even more formidable power mode hidden in plain sight – the Ultimate Performance Mode.
What exactly is this Ultimate Performance Mode? In a nutshell, it pushes your PC to its absolute limits, ensuring that your CPU runs at its peak performance, particularly under heavy loads such as gaming. In contrast to the Balanced mode, you'll notice a marked improvement in performance. Compared to the regular High-Performance mode, the CPU voltage remains more stable in Ultimate Performance Mode, and the operating temperature stays within an optimal range. Real-world tests have shown that enabling this mode can elevate your CPU's overall performance by nearly 10%, along with enhancements to memory performance.
It's worth noting that the Ultimate Performance Mode is not automatically included in all Windows 10 editions. It's primarily intended for users of Windows 10 Enterprise and Workstation editions, while users of Home and Pro editions may not have direct access to it. So, how can you easily unlock this hidden mode? First and foremost, ensure that your Windows 10 version is 1803 or later. Next, right-click on the Windows logo in the bottom-left corner of your desktop and select "Windows PowerShell (Admin)" to open it.
In the opened window, input the command: powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61
and press Enter to execute. Upon seeing the "Ultimate Performance" option appear, it signifies that you have successfully enabled it. From then on, in the Power Options, you'll find this previously hidden Ultimate Performance Mode prominently listed among the available options.
